A county councillor is appealling to the HSE West to reconsider a plan to suspend service at a specialised stroke ward at University Hospital Galway.Patients at St. Rita's Ward are to be relocated in other wards around the hospital as St. Rita's is suspended for 10 days. That's according to councillor Colm Keaveney, who says the redistribution of people from Sr. Rita's is a "direct attack on frontline services."
