HSE CLAIMS THAT GALWAY TOPPING SUPERBUG TABLE IS MISLEADING

Galway Hospital's position at the top of the 'Superbug League Table' is misleading and gives the "wrong impression".That's according to HSE West Director Dr Sean Conroy who was speaking at yesterday's Regional Health Forum.Figures released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre places University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park at the summit of the table for 2008 with a combined 47 casesSpeaking at the forum, Dr Seán Conroy made assurances that the situation is under control in Galway hospitals.
