HEALTH MINISTER TO MEET CITY NURSING HOME CAMPAIGNERS

The Health Minister Dr. James Reilly is to meet a delegation from St Francis Nursing Home this week.

It follows a long running campaign to prevent the HSE's planned closure of the Newcastle facility next year.

City Councillor and HSE West Forum Chairperson Padraig Conneely says the meeting will now take place in Leinster House on Thursday afternoon.

The news comes as a protest march is due to get underway in the city in the next hour [2pm] in a bid to save the facility.
