HEADFORD TO HOLD PRAYER SERVICE FOLLOWING PASSING OF LITTLE GIRL

The community in Headford is in shock after a little Polish girl passed away yesterday following an eight month battle with illness.

Wiktoria Kubaczyk had just turned nine last month (Feb) and had undergone two liver transplants.

She passed away at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London yesterday afternoon after complications due to an infection.

A special prayer service will be held in Wiktoria's memory in Headford Church tonight from 10 to midnight with mass at 11.30pm.

Local Parish Priest Fr Ray Flaherty says Wiktoria and her parents Mario and Anna are in the community's thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
