Gardaí investigate aggravated burglary at Knockdoe

Three men all wearing dark clothing, entered Daybreak at Knockdoe at around 9 o'clock last night and demanded money off a female staff member.She was struck on the legs a number of times, and the men managed to escape with an undisclosed sum of cash and cigarettes.The staff member later received medical attention at the scene and did not require hospitalisation.The scene at Knockdoe is being preserved today and a technical examination is underway.CTTV will form part of the investigation.One of the men is described as thin and around 6 foot in height, while the other two were shorter and stockier in build.Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area between 8 and 10 o'clock last night to contact them at Milstreet Garda station at 091 53-8000
