GALWAY SHOPPERS URGED TO COMMIT TO LOCAL BUSINESS

Galway shoppers are being asked to commit a percentage of their every day spending in a bid to help local businesses survive the recession.

Over 40 independent retailers have launched a Shop Local Galway campaign today to protect Galway jobs.

Galway is the first city in Ireland to adopt the initiative which originated in cities and towns across the US.
