GALWAY PRIMARY TEACHERS BEGIN BALLOTING ON INDUSTRIAL ACTION

Galway's primary teachers will begin balloting tonight on a proposed three day industrial action earmarked for the end of this month.
Primary teachers from Clifden and Iar Chonnacht will begin the ballot this evening, while teachers from Athenry and Ballinasloe will vote tommorow.
Teachers from the rest of the county will vote on different dates until the 13th of November.
Tuesday the 24th of November has been earmarked as the first day of industrial action if the ballot is agreed upon by teachers.
