GALWAY HAS 5 PERCENT OF NATIONAL SCRAPPAGE SCHEME

Over 500 cars have been sold in Galway under the scrappage scheme so far this year.

The latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that Galway accounts for 5 percent of the national scrappage scheme total this year.

The scrappage scheme, which ends in four weeks time, has generated over 86 million euro in VAT and VRT for the Government.
