GALWAY COURT ADJOURNED AS WOMAN INJURES HERSELF

Galway District Court had to be adjourned briefly yesterday when a young woman, sitting in the public area of the courtroom, was seen bleeding from wounds to her neck and wrists.The woman, who is in her twenties, became distraught as the time grew near for her case to be called. She was before the court on a number of summonses.Gardai immediately went to the woman’s aid and she became distraught, screaming that she knew she needed help. She was removed to UHG for treatment to her wounds.
