GALWAY AIRPORT TO REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 7PM TODAY

Galway airport will remain open until 7 o' clock this evening [10/5] as the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland continues to cause disruption.

Yesterday a number of flights into and out of the airport at Carnmore were disrupted because of the ash, however operations are resuming this morning.

The schedule at Galway airport is operating as normal today and the IAA says Irish airspace will remain open until at least 7pm.
