FEARS FOR SOUTH GALWAY RESIDENTS OVER RISING FLOOD WATERS

There are fears some residents near Gort may be marooned by rising water levels.

Several houses in Kiltartan and Skehannagh have been badly flooded, and Kiltartan church is almost seven feet under water.

The severe flooding has also caused a 40 foot wall on the N18 to collapse, as well as a second 40 foot wall along a nearby field.
