END TO 5 WEEK DISPUTE AT CITY HOTEL

A 5 week dispute at the Carlton Hotel in the city has come to an end.
An improved redundancy package was accepted today following a Labour Relations Commision hearing yesterday.
Management at the hotel originally offered a package of four weeks per year of service.
Unions were hoping for a pay out of seven and a half weeks per year of service.
A spokesperson for the workers told Galway Bay FM News that the revised package is a "happy compromise" between the two.
