Drainage works programme for river area near Ardrahan

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council and the Office of Public Works are to carry out works on the 7km drainage scheme from Ballyboy to Aggard River at Aggard More. The walk will produce a works programme that will involve the clearing and maintenance of the arterial drainage in the area. Works are set to begin, with permission of landowners, in August and September Fianna Fail Councillor for Loughrea area, Gerry Finnerty, feels more should be done to address the problem in the Craughwell area.
