DESIGN STANDARDS AGREED FOR UPGRADE OF CONNEMARA ROAD

Draft design standards, published by the National Roads Authority, have been agreed with Galway County Council for upgrading the N59 in Connemara.Construction on the pilot scheme at Derrylea is due to begin this year.Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Éamon Ó Cuív says he hopes this is the beginning of an upgrade of the entire N59.
