Cups of joy for fundraiser

THE country's top sports cups were in Supermac's at Eyre Square on Saturday as part of a fundraising event for Alan Kerins African Projects.

Members of the All-Ireland Winning Galway Minor and Portumna Senior Hurling teams, and the 2010 Galway Senior Hurling and Football teams attended the event.

It is hoped that other activities which took place in Supermac's on the day will help contribute to the €1 million required for the Alan Kerins African Projects Educational, Sporting and Community Based Centre in Africa.

Cups including the Sam Maguire, Liam McCarthy, Heineken Cup, Irish Press Cup and the Tommy Moore Cup were at Supermac's on the day giving fans a chance to hold and have photographs taken with the prestigious trophies.

Supermac’s will be donating €1 to the fund from each Supermac’s meal sold on the day
