COUNCILS FINALISE BIDS FOR 50 MILLION EURO TRANSPORT PRIZE

Both Galway City and County Councils are busy finalising submissions to develop certain parts of the city and county as smarter travel areas.The Department of Transport is offering 50 million euro between four local authorities to develop sustainable transport as part of a nationwide competition.Millions of euro could be invested in the city as well as Loughrea, Oranmore, Claregalway and Barna if the Council's bids are successful.
