Council officials to consider free on-street parking in county towns
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Council officials are to consider a proposal to introduce free periods of on-street parking in Galway's county towns.
It follows a motion raised by Cllr Peter Feeney at this week's meeting of the local authority where he said our towns are 'dying on their feet'.
Cllr Feeney told members that out-of-town shopping centres are having a significant impact.
He proposed that half hour free on-street parking would give a great boost to local tourism.
