COUNCIL CRITICISED OVER UNDERPASSES PLANNED FOR BY PASS

Galway county council is facing damming critcism over its plans to provide underpasses for two commerical premises along the outer city bypass but close roads in residential areas. The council is proposing to close the Aille road and the Tonabrocky roads which the bypass would intersect. But there's anger that a road with no residents but one commercial premises at Furreymelia is to remain open and have an underpass built.
