CONNEMARA WESTDOC TO GO AHEAD IN JULY

The controversial introduction of the Westdoc system to South Connemara is to go ahead in July.One doctor will provide weekend services in the area from Lettermullen west to Carna on certain weekends. This news emerged from a meeting in an Cheathrua Rua last night where a community deputation met Westdoc management and local doctors. There has been strong local opposition to the Westdoc plan with fears that people could be put at risk.
