CONCERN GROWS OVER SAFETY AT CLAREGALWAY ROADWORKS

There are major concerns about safety at Loughgeorge and Claregalway as roadworks continue.The road layout has been narrowed approaching Claregalway from Loughgeorge while the Council carries out roadworks.However in recent weeks, people travelling along the N17 have expressed concern about roadworks as many of the traffic cones are too dirty to see in the dark.Local councillor, Jim Cuddy says it's particularly dangerous for motorists coming out onto the N17 from the Corrandulla road at Loughgeorge.Councillor Cuddy says the area has to be cleaned and improved safety measures put in place.
