COCA COLA OBTAINS HIGH COURT INJUNCTION AGAINST PICKETS

Coca Cola says it's obtained a High Court injunction against SIPTU members in relation to pickets at its facilities around the country.The injunction is intended to prevent union members from blocking other workers who wish to pass though picket lines at the company's distribution centres in Tuam, Dublin, Cork, Waterford and Tipperary.Workers have been mounting the pickets since last week because of the company's plans to outsource 130 jobs.27 distribution staff at the Tuam depot will be affected by the outsourcing.
