CITY MEETING ON CAMPAIGN TO BOYCOTT NEW HOUSEHOLD LEVIES

A public meeting to discuss the next steps of a campaign against household, water and septic tank charges is to take place in the city this day week [Thurs Sept 20].

Socialist Party TD and campaigner Joe Higgins will address the public gathering on the plans to step up opposition at a local and national level.

It takes place in the Harbour Hotel at 8 next Thursday.

Meanwhile, Galway's local campaign group is also due to hold a gathering in Kelly's Bar in the city this evening at 8 [Thurs Sept 13].
