City man remanded in custody regarding alleged robbery

A 29-year-old man with an address in the city has been remanded in custody to Castlerea Prison regarding an alleged robbery at a fast food outlet in Galway.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place at Subway in Westside and it is claimed that a female staff member was threatened and a sum of cash was taken from the till.
Yesterday Joe Crawford (29), with an address in Rahoon, appeared before a special sitting of Ballaghaderreen District Court in connection with the incident which happened last Sunday evening.
He was remanded in custody to appear again before Harristown Court, Castlerea next Friday.
