CITY MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG DEALING REMANDED IN PRISON FOR CHRISTMAS

A 33 year old city man charged with drug dealing will spend Christmas on remand. Thomas Joseph Barrett of Corrib Park, Newcastle is charged with having cocaine in his possession and with having it for sale or supply to others at his home on January 20th this year. Thomas Barrett is further charged with obstructing arrest at his home on January 20th, and with having a balaclava, a knife, two walkie talkies and gloves in his possession on the same date to be used in connection with a burglary. A book of evidence has already been served on the accused in relation to the drugs charge.
