The church should lead the way in child protection and tough lessons must be learned from the past when bad decisions were made in haste That's according to Bishop of Galway Martin Drennan of Galway speaking at yesterday's launch of the Diocesan Child Protection policy document Bishop Drennan told the gathering in the Clayton Hotel it will take the Church time to build trust but the Galway Child Protection policy is a step in the right direction.Kevin Duffy, Chairperson of the Diocesan Child Protection Committee says it has taken two years and a lot of consultations to formulate this comprenhsive policy
