CAMPAIGN STEPS UP TO OPPOSE CARRAROE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT

Attempts to block a proposed sewage treatment plant in Carraroe will step up a gear this weekend.Concerned residents and the Pier Development Committee will hold a rally near the proposed treatment site at the pier at An Sruthán this Sunday.A decision on the treatment plant was postponed at last week's meeting of the County Council pending representations to the Department Of Environment.The public rally is the next step in highlighting opposition to the proposed development.
