CALL FOR PARENTS OF TUAM TROUBLEMAKERS TO BE CHARGED

There's been a call for the parents of a small group of teenage thugs who are terrorising people in Tuam to also be charged.Councillor Mary Loftus has called for “zero tolerance” and threatened to name and shame those involved at a meeting of Tuam Town Council last night.While Cllr Loftus said she would name and shame the young Tuam thugs she was warned this could pre-empt the outcome of a court case today. Mayor Sally Ann Flanagan congratulated Tuam Gardai on the professional way they dealt with a disturbance and arrested 10 people in the town early on Sunday morning.Cllr Mary Loftus said she was “nearly certain” that a group of hooded thugs, who are attacking others regularly, were not involved in that incident.
