BOOST FOR IRISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT IN CORR NA MONA

Corr na Mona in County Galway is to share an Irish language development grant of a quarter of a million euro with its County Mayo neighbour TourmekeadyThe grant has been sanctioned by Galway West's Éamon Ó Cuív, the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht AffairsAn annual grant of €75,000 for three years will be given to Comharchumann Dhúiche Sheoighe to support their language planning project for Corr na Móna and Tuar Mhic Éadaigh. As a result of this funding the co-operative will be able to employ a language manager to implement the language retention measures agreed by these communities.
