Ballymoe vows to try beards record again next year
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The town of Ballymoe on the Galway/Roscommon border gathered together 287 beards and moustaches today for the ‘Town of 1000 Beards’ Gathering Festival.
While the festival didn't beat the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest number of beards and moustaches in one place at the same time they're already planning next year's attempt.
Newport USA therefore still holds the record, but Mary Finnegan says it was one of Ballymoe's busiest ever days.
