There has been another delay in developing the well-known Taafes building in the city centre.Earlier this year, businessman, Gerry Barrett, was given the go-ahead by the City Council to redevelop the protected building into a new shop unit.Previous proposals to redevelop the Taafes building at William Street had been unsuccessful but city planners gave the go ahead for new plans in May with 21 conditions. However, environmental group, An Taisce has now launched a bid to block the plans.A decision is expected from An Bord Pleanála by October.
