AHASCRAGH PRIESTS DEFAMATION CASE ADJOURNED

A defamation action against RTÉ by an Ahascragh priest, which was due to begin yesterday, was adjourned because there was no judge available to hear the case.

Fr. Kevin Reynolds is taking the action over a Primetime programme last May over false claims about his relationship with a woman in Africa.

RTÉ later apologised for defaming Fr. Reynolds stating that the allegations were baseless and without foundation.

The case was due to begin at the High Court yesterday [15/11] but it was adjourne
