Two National Irish Banks in Galway are to close, leaving just one branch open in the city
The Banks restructuring plans, announced last evening, will see the closure of 25 branches and the axing of 150 jobs nationwide.
Under the banks restructuring plans, NIB in Ballinasloe will close and merge with Athlone NIB.
The Eyre Square branch of NIB will close and merge with NIB financial service centre on the Moneenageisha Road in the city.
