Galway trad group, We Banjo 3 will be on The Late Late Show this Friday night, April 15, launching their new single, Happiness, written by Headford man Noelie McDonnell.

Then, on Saturday, they will record the video for Happiness on the city’s Quay Street and High Street between 11am and 1pm. They would like as many people as possible to just turn up, have fun and be in the video.

According to Enda Scahill of the band, “it's going to a real Galway video featuring lots of local groups and bands, and starring lots of Galway business owners and shop fronts”.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the four-strong band, made up of two sets of brothers, David and Martin Howley and Fergal and Enda Scahill.

A major tour of the US in March took them from Michigan to Ohio to Chicago to Nashville and included a detour to Washington on March 15 where they performed for President Obama at the annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon on Capitol Hill.

But now, they are back in Galway, urging people to get involved in Saturday’s video for Happiness.
