Nathan Carter who will be the special guest for Garth Brooks’ sell-out Croke Park shows on Monday and Tuesday, July 28 and 29, will be in Galway’s Black Box Theatre on Thursday, August 28. Garth saw a clip of Nathan from his recent sell-out appearance at The Marquee in Cork and requested that Nathan be his guest for two of the Dublin concerts.

Nathan has described himself as “over the moon” at the prospect of supporting the American country star.

“They are the biggest shows of my life and I can’t wait to take the stage in Croke Park in front of 80,000 people. What thrill.”

Nathan’s new album Where I Wanna Be is the top selling album in Ireland this year, despite stiff competition from international artists including Kodaline, Eminem, One Direction and Michael Buble.

“I am absolutely delighted that Where I Wanna Be has reached Number 1 in the charts,” he said. “It is something that every musician and recording artist strives to achieve and I owe a huge thank you to everyone who has bought the album. Where I Wanna Be is my fourth studio album and I wasn’t sure how we would top the success of Wagon Wheel, which has remained in the charts for over a year now.

Tickets to Nathan’s Galway show in the Black Box Theatre on Thursday, August 28, are now on sale. The Black Box has new tiered seating, making for a more comfortable venue with better sightlines and tickets are expected to move fast.

They are available at The Town Hall Theatre, 091 569777, and online at www.tht.ie and cost €25
