Mystery film screening with Little Cinema and GoBus

Galway’s Little Cinema – a monthly short-film showcase that supports film-making at grassroots level – has linked with the coach company GoBus to organise a Mystery Christmas Film Screening somewhere in County Galway.
It will take place this Saturday, December 19, departing from Galway City and the pick-up point is at Galway Cathedral at 6.30pm sharp.
Little Cinema and GoBus will transport people to a “beautiful secret location” and surprise them with a festive movie favourite.
“We can't reveal any clues, but the venue is absolutely spectacular,” says Julia Puchovska of Little Cinema “You'll get to explore the magic location when we arrive and soak up the Christmas atmosphere with drinks and mince pies.”
And she promises “lots of laughs and sing Christmas Carols on the bus ride over”.
Since it was set up over five years ago, Little Cinema has screened over 600 films from over 200 budding Irish film-makers. Its open submission policy and welcoming atmosphere has seen it become a staple in Galway's arts scene.
The only rules are that all films must be under 10 minutes’ long and that the film-maker is able to attend the screening. That helps foster a community feel and gives the audience an insight into how the film was made.
Screenings usually take place in the Róisín Dubh on the last Wednesday of every month, when eight to ten short films are screened, ranging from comedy to horror alongside documentary and music videos.
Aside from regular screenings, Little Cinema also puts on special events, one of them being Mystery Screenings such as the Christmas outing.
