Cliodhna explores love of Connemara and of Irish fabric

Photographer, chef and food writer, Cliodhna Prendergast, is exhibiting new work in Galway’s Ard Bia Restaurant until October.

Working in collaboration with local fashion house, The Tweed Project, the 10 photos were shot in Connemara on a misty winter’s morning.

They combine Cliodhna’s love of the area with her appreciation of natural Irish fabrics. She loves that the colours in the clothes produced by the Tweed Project mirror the sedge grasses of the bog and the mountains.

A trained chef, Cliodhna grew up in Cashel where her parents owned the Zetland House Hotel. She now lives in Ballynahinch.

A food and travel writer and photographer, she co-founded the Lens and Larder Food and Travel photography workshops.

Previously a columnist for the Sunday Times magazine, she’s a freelance contributor to Image Interiors and the Financial Times website How to Spend It

Prints can be bought from Ard Bia, www.ardbia.com, at €190.
