Sixteen-year-old Clare Quinn from Renmore in Galway City was recently awarded first place in the Golden Voice of America– a prestigious international vocal competition which attracted entries from all over the world.

This is Clare’s fourth international vocal award in the past twelve months.

As part of her prize, she will be performing at the Robert Schumann Museum in Zwickau, Germany in August. And, after receiving a scholarship, she will also be a part of the American Fine Arts Festival Tour, with concerts in Germany, Austria and Italy this summer.

Last year, Clare performed to much acclaim in New York’s world-renowned Carnegie Hall after being awarded first place and a Judges’ Distinction Award from the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition.

A student at Dominican College, Taylors Hill in Galway City, she is thrilled with her latest award and is looking forward to performing in Germany, Austria and especially Italy, this summer. She has also been invited back to Carnegie Hall in July for a special recital, where she has been chosen to perform Tomaso Albinoni’s Adagio.
