Christy and Máirtín for Salthill show
Legendary singer Christy Moore will wrap up his 2015 touring season, and his 49th year on the road with a series of shows around the country which sees him visit the Galway Bay Hotel, on Saturday December 5.
He is teaming up with the Máirtín O’Connor band for the concert. Galway man Máirtín and his bandmates – Cathal Hayden on fiddle, Séamie O’Dowd on guitar and frequently Jimmy Higgins on percussion – have been part of Christy’s show in recent times.
The Kildare legend had gone to a few of their gigs, occasionally joining them onstage for a song, before inviting them to join him for his show as he wanted to return to working with traditional musicians.
