Festival chairman Eamonn Ó Cualáin said: “The aim of Sky Road TV and Film Festival is to give Irish filmmakers a better opportunity to screen their content at festival level. If you have a new documentary or film in post production we would love you to submit.”

Competition categories at this point consist of the following:

Sky Road will work closely with producers and broadcasters to bring the latest content in Irish cinema and television, in both Irish and English language to the programme.

The goal is to engage with filmmakers by providing a platform for discussion regarding media, trends and finance options available.

For those seeking a career in the industry, or with an interest in TV and film production, the festival will run practical workshops in Animation, Cinematography, Acting and Video Editing. They would like to call on local community groups, schools and third level colleges to get in touch and become involved with the festival.

Sky Road hope to stimulate the development of best international practice in documentary, TV formats and co-productions by providing a forum for screenings, discussions and master classes. They will also screen a range of local interest films.
