Busy Sunday at the Pálás

The Pálás Cinema, in association with Galway Autism Partnership, is screening the latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s much-loved comedy, Emma, this Sunday, March 1. This special screening will provide a comfortable and calming cinema-going experience for individuals who are on the autism spectrum, as well as adults and children with sensory conditions or learning difficulties.
The lighting and sound levels will be low and the audience will be able to bring their own food to ensure everyone can feel at home. Seating allocation is spaced out if any audience members wish to move around during the film. Assistance dogs are welcome.
The bar is reserved for audience members and family to provide a comfortable chill-out space and Pálás staff will be on-hand to provide assistance and support if needed.
Tickets are €7.50, with complimentary tickets for caregivers and are available from the box office which is open daily from 12pm. Phone 091-394800.
Also on Sunday, as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge and in association with Galway 2020, Pálás presents a screening of Cumar: A Galway Rhapsody followed by a Q&A with its producer Paddy Hayes and author Mike McCormack.
