Bells, whistles and pots for Nutcracker family concert
Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, performed and narrated by the WhistleBlast Quartet, will be streamed online this Saturday from Galway’s Town Hall Theatre.
The superb quartet of Ken Edge (saxophones and clarinets), Conor Linehan (piano), Mary Curran (French horn), and Oonagh Keogh (violin), will also perform popular carols and Christmas songs such as Sleigh Ride.
The Nutcracker has been arranged by the Quartet’s acclaimed Kenneth Edge for this sparkling Christmas show that’s suitable for all the family. People are invited to “gather bells, pots and wooden spoons” and join in this uplifting start to the festive season.
The Nutcracker family concert is being streamed from the Town Hall Theatre this Saturday, December 19, at 4pm and will be available for 72 hours after.
