Galway actress Bríd Ní Neachtain features in the final episode of TG4’s series ‘Rothaí an tSaoil’ as she prepares to take part in a new production at the Abbey Theatre.

Bríd is the final guest in the series from Galway based company Aniar, in which presenter Áine Ní Bhreisleáin meets people from the world of sport, arts entertainment and food, who give an insight into their lives and careers.

Through conversations and personal reflections, Áine uncovers their stories of challenges, losses and triumphs.

The episode, featuring one of Ireland’s finest actresses was filmed between Conamara and Dublin, as it explores Bríd’s career, one that spans small rural theatres as well as headlining shows at the Abbey Theatre and on Broadway, and featuring in international film productions.

Bríd will share the stories behind performances including ‘Dancing at Lughnasa’, ‘Cré na Cille’, ‘Laethanta Sona’, ‘Ros na Rún’, ‘Klondike’, ‘Róise & Frank’ and ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’.

The programme will be broadcast on TG4 this Thursday 8pm and is available on the TG4 player, alongside the other episodes.

These include interviews with former RTÉ sports journalist and current FG Senator, Evanne Ní Chuilinn, and Belfast chef, Hugh Corcoran, whose tiny London restaurant The Yellow Bittern – which only accepts cash and which can only be pre-booked by telephone – has gained a cult status in his adopted city.
