IN LiMBO, a brand-new show that takes the basics of what makes the tradition of Irish dancing so attractive and translates it into a new, still-recognisable language of music and dance will be staged at the Town Hall Theatre this Friday night, September 7.

Presented by Kristyn Fontanella Dance, it features four live musicians and an ensemble of six dancers on a journey where past and present collide and a new future for Irish step-dancing will be explored.

As choreographer, Kristyn Fontanella’s mission is to show another side of the complex world of step-dancing to future generations of dancers and to introduce audiences to other aspects of a form that they thought they already knew.

Spanning traditional and contemporary worlds, IN LiMBO will take audiences on a unique journey within Irish step-dancing as Kristyn Fontanella asks the performers to question the established norms of their dance form and create a new way of moving alongside the old.
