West of Ireland creative sector to generate 340 million
Galway Bay fm newsroom - An estimated 338 million euro will be generated by creative businesses in the West of Ireland by 2020.
Around 11,000 people are currently employed in the creative sector in the west, and the Western Development Commission hope to increase this figure.The new 'My Creative Edge' website showcases the work of businesses from the west of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden and Finland to foreign buyers.Head of Regional Development at the Western Development Commission, Ian Brannigan, says there is huge export potential in the sector.
