SHOCK IN TUAM AT DIVERS DEATH

The Tuam area is in shock today at the death of former resident Gabriel Ryan, who died in a diving accident in Killaray Harbour off the Connemara coast at the week-end.Gabriel who is in his early 40s is the son of Julian and Patrica Ryan of 8 Fairgreen Heights, Tuam.His father was member of the Garda Siochana in the town for many years and retired from the force over ten years ago.A past pupil of St. Jarlath’s College, Team, Gabriel Ryan had been living and working in the UK for many years.He was on a short visit home when the tragic diving accident claimed his life on Sunday evening.
