A safety warning has been issued to motorists in the Tuam area following heavy rainfall overnight.
Gardai in Tuam are urging motorists to slow down at the Claretuam area due to very slippy driving conditions on a new road surface.
If follows a one vehicle collision last evening where a motorist slid off the roadway just after 6.
Spot flooding and surface water is also reported on the N59 at Oughterard and along the N17.
