Voting is now underway at the 320 polling stations across Galway in the EU Fiscal Stability Treaty referendum.
The proposal is the Thirtieth Amendment to the Constitution.
Polling at the 164 stations in Galway West and 156 in Galway East will continue until ten o'clock tonight.
Polling on Galway's three Aran Islands and Inishbofin took place yesterday to ensure the boxes get to the mainland in time for the count tomorrow (Fri Jun 1).
Counting of votes in the referendum will begin at 9 tomorrow morning at Leisureland in Salthill for the Galway West votes and at New Inn Community Centre for the Galway East votes.
