VISITOR RESTRICTIONS REMAIN AT UHG WARD

Visitors are still being urged to stay away from a public ward at University Hospital Galway following a suspected outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.The HSE introduced visitor restrictions at St. Teresa's ward last Friday and are only allowing immediate family members of patients to visit.

Very young children or people with serious illnesses should avoid visiting the ward as they may be particularly susceptible to the bug.

Norovirus or the winter vomiting bug easily spreads from person to person.
