TWO FURTHER REMANDED IN CITY ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

Two men have been remanded in continuing custody in connection with an assault on a woman in the city, last weekend.

The men, both aged in their late 20s, appeared at Harristown District Court on Friday [Oct 14].

They are charged with sexual assault on a woman in her 20s, in a laneway off Merchants road in the early hours of Saturday October 8th.

The two are due to appear again at Harristown District Court in the coming weeks for possible further charges and instructions from the Director Of Public Prosecutions.
