TUAM DEVELOPMENT BLOCKED TO PROTECT STREETSCAPE

The protection of the streetscape at The Mall in Tuam town centre has blocked a major commercial development from going ahead.County planners have refused Marty Reddington permission to demolish existing buildings at Tuam Hardware and build 8 units and 22 apartments in their place.They say the protection of the Mall was paramount and Marty Reddington's proposal was too large in scale and height and was inappropriate in design.
